Production Opportunities:

Producer – In consultation with the director, the Producer is responsible for creating and overseeing the budget, recruiting the production team, and more; ultimately responsible for overseeing all aspects of mounting a theatre production.

Director – Ensures the quality and completeness of a theatrical production and leads the members of the creative team into realizing his or her artistic vision.

Assistant Director – An apprentice to the director, the Assistant Director observes the directing process and participates in it through discussion, planning and execution at the Director’s discretion. The Assistant Director attends all production meetings and rehearsals.

Stage Manager – Responsible for keeping the production running smoothly from the first production meeting to the final performance; the Stage Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the production during performances.

Assistant Stage Manager - Assist with set & costume changes, and any additional help needed backstage.

Stage Crew –In the dark, move sets, operate curtains and other stage business that the actors require assistance with.

Costume Designer – Responsible for costume creation, making use of existing costumes, fitting costumes to performers, and cleaning costumes between performances and following the last show, before storage.

Lighting Designer – Responsible for creating an overall 'look' for the show in response to the text, while keeping in mind issues of visibility, safety and cost.

Lighting Technician – Operates the lighting throughout performances.

Sound Designer – Determines what sounds will be used to create the mood and setting of the play; may also choose or compose specific music for the play.

Sound Technician – Operates the sound throughout performances.

Make-Up & Hair Designer/Technician
– Designs and helps to execute makeup and hairstyles for a production.

Properties Manager – Responsible for purchasing, acquiring and/or manufacturing any props needed for a production.

Set Designer – Designs the environment or physical appearance of the stage for a play.

Set Construction Supervisor – Working closely with the Set Designer, the Set Construction Supervisor is responsible for the execution of the scenic design.

Set Construction Crew – Assists the Set Construction Supervisor in the construction of the scenic elements of the show. Painting may also be involved.

Scenic Artist – Responsible for painting the scenery as directed by the Set Designer.

Graphic Designer
– Designs program and advertisement art appropriate to the production.

Front of House Manager – Responsible for recruiting volunteers for ushering and operating concession, the Front of House Manager is ultimately responsible for overseeing all operations in the foyer and auditorium.

Box Office Manager – Responsible for ticket sales operation, online, by phone and at the door.

Ushers – Directs and assists patrons to their seats, Ushers are responsible for ensuring the safety of the patrons during performances. *Ushers may have the opportunity to view the performance if space allows.

Stage Door Canteen Operator – Responsible for the operation of concession prior to and during the intermission of performance.  Prepares the strike dinner following the last show.  Organizes meals for cast and crew on two show days.
